Help with setup, sign-in, shortcuts, and billing.

Download the Mac or Windows app from aitype.work and launch it once installation finishes. On Mac, AIType lives in the menu bar. On Windows, it runs from the system tray near the clock.

On Mac, AIType needs Accessibility permission to detect the Fn key globally. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and enable AIType. On Windows, open the tray icon, check your shortcut in Settings, and make sure AIType is running before you hold the trigger key.

Make sure you installed AIType to /Applications (not run from the DMG directly). Re-launch, then press Fn once - macOS will prompt for microphone access.

Open Settings from the menu bar icon on Mac or the system tray icon on Windows, enter your email, and continue in the browser. New accounts can open AIType right away. Existing paid accounts may still finish sign-in from email.

Open AIType Settings from the menu bar icon on Mac or the tray icon on Windows and look for the shortcut setting. You can change the hold key from Fn or the current default to another key that fits your workflow.

The app is free to download. Your 14-day no-card trial starts the moment you sign in to the app. No card is required upfront. You are only asked to subscribe after the trial if you want to keep using AIType.

Click the AIType menu bar icon and choose Manage Subscription. That opens the right billing page in your browser, including Stripe billing for paid accounts.
